Overpopulation, land fragmentation, immigration from the Democratic Republic of Congo and Rwanda, poor health care, and high rates of unemployment, illiteracy and HIV/AIDS are some of the major causes of disadvantage in Kisoro, leaving many children vulnerable. This project has identified 143 of the most vulnerable children, unable to access education and has provided them with a broad range of supports that enable them to attend school.
